Eric earned his Master of Taxation from Brigham Young University after which he joined EY as a Tax Manager. He joined Calvetti Ferguson in June 2017 as a Senior Tax Manager in the San Antonio office. At that time, the San Antonio office was a relatively new office for Calvetti Ferguson. Jim Oliver, Sandra Schieffer and both of their teams had joined Calvetti Ferguson just a few months prior. Essentially, we had three firms coming together at the same time and Eric played a pivotal role in helping the teams work together.
“Eric has earned this promotion over the last two years with hard work and dedication to his team members and clients” said Jason Ferguson, Managing Partner. Eric Teachout added “I am truly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to work alongside each of my colleagues and look forward to the opportunities the future will bring. I am excited to be an integral part of growing Calvetti Ferguson’s brand, especially in the San Antonio market.”
Eric leads the San Antonio energy tax practice. He has significant experience serving private clients, as well as companies and family-owned businesses. His specialties include ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes), federal and state income taxes, international tax, tax accounting methods, and mergers & acquisitions.
