Community Impact

Adding Value to the Communities We Serve

To grow, we must build each other up and create lasting success for our clients. This not only applies to our clients and employees but also to our communities. The question always on our firm’s mind is: how do we create a lasting impact?

Our employees serve on non-profit and advisory boards and give back to their communities outside the office. Additionally, our connection teams volunteer with organizations like the Houston Food Bank each year. However, we want to do more.

Our firm is focused on helping youth in underserved areas by providing career development and skills training through programs like Genesys Works and Project Impact with Bethel’s Academy. More specifically, we provide internship opportunities, mock interviews, networking courses, and more to help create a career pathway and improve the trajectory for these students. Throughout all our initiatives, we fulfill our mission to positively impact our communities.

The Nashville Opera hosts the annual gala to recognize the organization’s and its members’ outstanding efforts. The funds from the gala support the education and community engagement of young audiences of the art form through its Opera on Tour program, which introduces students to the opera in a fun and engaging way. Calvetti Ferguson is an annual sponsor, and Nicholas McClay is President of the Board.

The Ronald McDonald House in Fort Worth serves as a home away from home to families who travel far from home for the medical care their child needs, and it provides comfort, support, and resources. Calvetti Ferguson is an annual sponsor of two events, hosted by the young professionals group Red Shoe Society, which help support the Fort Worth house. Employees in the Fort Worth office have volunteered their time serving in the kitchen and through other volunteer efforts. Phillip Hernandez is on the board of the Red Shoe Society.

Genesys Works is a program that provides pathways to career success for high school students in underserved communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships. Calvetti Ferguson partners with Genesys Works to provide students in underserved areas with internships and professional development skills. Our employees help students with their resumes and participate in mock interviews to prepare them for real-life interviews.

The Houston Food Bank, whose mission statement is “food for better lives,” serves around 1 million people around the 18 southeast Texas counties to help provide nutritious meals to those who do not have the means to access enough food, amongst other necessities. While they distribute food through a network of over 1,600 community partners, they also help educate families by providing programs and services to help families accomplish long-term stability. Every Calvetti Ferguson Houston office employee volunteers at least one shift per year.
