Houston, TX (January 1, 2020) – Calvetti Ferguson is pleased to announce the promotion of four team members. Effective January 1, 2020, Scott Contreras has been promoted to Assurance Senior Manager. Tazkia Rahim has been promoted to Tax Senior Manager, and Justin Foster and Ashley Murray have been promoted to Tax Senior Associates.
Scott Contreras has been with Calvetti Ferguson for over four years. He has over 10 years of experience primarily in the construction industry although some of his clients operate in the energy, manufacturing, and distribution industries. He has extensive technical accounting experience with complex transactions, such as purchase accounting, stock-based compensation and the issuance of debt and equity financing. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Sam Houston State University and is a Certified Public Accountant by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Tazkia Rahim has been with Calvetti Ferguson for over five years. She has close to 10 years of experience in public accounting, both at Big Four and middle-market firms. Her areas of focus include the energy, private equity, manufacturing, and distribution industries. She specializes in compliance and planning for corporations, partnerships, and individuals, as well as ASC 740 tax accounting and international taxes. Tazkia earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and her Master of Science in Taxation from Texas A&M University. Justin Foster has been with Calvetti Ferguson for over two years. His areas of focus include manufacturing, distribution, and private clients. He is experienced in preparing various Federal (1065, 1120, 1040) and State tax returns utilizing financial statements upon the completion of the audit. Ashley Murray has been with Calvetti Ferguson for over a year and a half. Prior to Calvetti Ferguson, Ashley worked for a Fort Worth CPA firm for three years, which was acquired by Calvetti Ferguson in June 2018.
