Calvetti Ferguson is excited to celebrate the achievement of Rachel Rhea, tax manager, for being honored as a 2023 Rising Star by the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA). Rachel is based out of Calvetti Ferguson’s Fort Worth office. She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in accounting services within the industry, including over six years of public accounting experience focusing on federal and state tax compliance.
The TXCPA Rising Star Award is an annual recognition given to a TXCPA member aged 40 and under who has displayed outstanding leadership skills and active engagement in TXCPA, the accounting profession, and their local communities. This program acknowledges the significant contributions of young CPAs, highlighting their leadership qualities and involvement in TXCPA, the accounting profession, and/or their communities. Every year, the TXCPA selection committee identifies 30 emerging professionals who have made noteworthy contributions to the accounting profession and their communities.
TXCPA acknowledges Rachel as a leader who actively promotes internal initiatives and encourages growth. She has been chosen for her comprehensive contributions to the tax management field and her dedication to community service. Rachel’s involvement with TXCPA is evident in her position on the Accounting Career Education Committee. Demonstrating her commitment to community service, she spearheads the Santaaccountants gift drive at Calvetti Ferguson, bringing joy and goodwill to others. Apart from her professional and TXCPA commitments, Rachel dedicates her time to supporting programs at her children’s schools in Arlington ISD, emphasizing her dedication to education.
Rachel’s clients come from various industries, including oil and gas, real estate, family offices, trusts and estates, and professional services. She has been focusing on assisting family offices and entrepreneurs with tax planning and tax compliance needs, including improving efficiencies whenever and wherever it is possible. In addition to her membership in TXCPA, Rachel is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
