John is the Technology Advisory Services Partner in Charge at Calvetti Ferguson. With over 18 years of experience, John has a comprehensive understanding of an organization’s IT function from technical, organizational and risk-oriented perspectives.
John specializes in SOC reporting, IT General Controls reviews, IT Risk Assessment and Fractional CIO services.
John earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University and his Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Brett Burgess is a Sales Executive at Dean & Draper. He offers more than 20 years of experience brokering commercial property and casualty insurance in the Houston area. He focuses his time being a trusted business advisor to his clients by helping them structure customized risk management solutions to protect both their personal and company assets. Brett prides himself on being a professional advisor and not someone who just quotes insurance. Through the Dean & Draper process, he focuses on the how’s and why’s of a company’s risk management program to help match it to the overall risk tolerance and long term objectives of each client.
Brett leads the Professional and Executive Liability Practice Group at Dean & Draper. He has placed D&O, E&O and Cyber insurance policies for companies of all sizes, both public and private. Along with being one of Houston’s leading brokers in the technology sector, he also has vast experience in placing coverage for manufacturing, life sciences, commercial property, and professional services.
Moderator: Brad Cummings
Brad leads the assurance practice in Dallas and serves as the Dallas office Managing Partner. He has an extensive background and over 16 years’ experience serving clients in the technology, manufacturing and distribution, private equity, and real estate industries.
He works extensively with middle market clients with enterprise value ranging from $10M to $900M. He also has a focus on providing employee benefit plan audits for Plans ranging from $5M to $500M in net assets. He is a former Infantry officer in the United States Army and a graduate of the US Army Ranger School.
Brad is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Texas & Louisiana Societies of CPAs, Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), and Business Navigators DFW.
