As a proud sponsor of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SAHCC), Calvetti Ferguson hosted a lunch and learn event on August 3, 2021, where Yessica Perez, Tax Partner, and Sandy Guevara, Tax Manager, presented on the topic “Federal Changes to Know for the New Tax Season”. Yessica and Sandy discussed pandemic relief, paycheck protection, the CARES Act, the Taxpayer Certainty and Disaster Tax Relief Act, IRS form changes, and the federal tax plan roadmap.

Yessica Perez stated that, “The lunch and learn was a wonderful opportunity to share new tax updates and federal changes with members of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The business owners and leaders were engaged and shared with me that is was a great experience they enjoyed being able to receive help with their tax questions and reflect on the changes that occurred in 2020.”

Sandy Guevara said, “We have received a lot of questions from our San Antonio tax and accounting services clients on federal tax changes and recent legislation, and we know it can be difficult for taxpayers to stay in the know. Yessica and I are so glad we could help these entrepreneurs and community leaders with their questions as well as discuss a few of the tax updates and federal changes that have occurred recently. ”
