Houston, TX (January 3, 2023) – Calvetti Ferguson is excited to announce the promotion of eight outstanding team members effective as of January 1. Our firm is proud to recognize each of the following individuals for their dedication, hard work, and eagerness to grow.
Tazkia Rahim has been promoted to tax director. She joined the firm in 2014 as a tax senior associate and has steadily worked her way up through the ranks over the last eight years. Whether providing exceptional client service or patiently developing her team, Tazkia positively impacts the tax department daily. She truly lives out our core values with her strong commitment to excellence. Tazkia serves both family-owned and private equity-backed companies in a wide variety of industries.
Ryan Baker has been promoted to tax manager. Starting as an intern, he transferred to the Dallas office in 2018 as a full-time associate. Ryan has four years of experience in federal and state tax compliance and his clients come from a variety of industries, including private equity, technology, transportation, construction, professional services, and oil & gas.
Ashley Murray has been promoted to tax manager. With more than eight years of experience in public accounting, she brings value to her clients by being their trusted business advisor. She specializes in various industries such as real estate, family offices, high net worth individuals, and privately held business.
Lisa Finney has been promoted to tax manager. Lisa joined the firm at the beginning of 2020 as a tax senior associate in the Fort Worth office. She specializes in tax compliance and consulting for high-net-worth families, estate and trusts.
Craig Cook has been promoted to resource senior manager. He joined the firm four years ago as the resource manager for both tax and assurance but eventually transitioned fully over to the tax department. Since then, his role has evolved from primarily ensuring that client engagements are properly scheduled and staffed to one that has enabled him to execute on strategic-level initiatives for the partner in charge of the practice.
Elizabeth Mendez has been promoted to tax associate. She joined the firm in January 2021 as a paraprofessional in the Fort Worth office. Liz specializes in tax compliance for individuals and small businesses. In her new role as a tax associate, she will continue to build upon her excellent client service skills for middle-market entrepreneurs and high-net-worth families.
Paul Capps has been promoted to tax resource specialist. He joined the firm in January 2020. Paul has a natural talent for leading projects and collaborating with the tax department and Fort Worth office in its many initiatives, including Workflow implementation.
Janet Siros has been promoted to accounting specialist. She started with Calvetti Ferguson in September 2020 as a tax administrative assistant. In her new role in the accounting department, she will work with the other billing specialists to handle all invoicing, accounts receivable, collections, and client management.
