Before Jared began his corporate leadership career 13 years ago, he spent ten years coaching and teaching in collegiate athletics. ‘Coach Ham’ frequently shares how his experiences, both positive and challenging, in transforming two losing baseball programs into winners have shaped his approach to coaching and leadership in the workplace. Before joining Calvetti Ferguson in May 2019, he led the human resources team at Southern Star Pipeline’s Kentucky headquarters for five years, after two years managing a field operations team in northwest Kansas. Jared is an Executive Board Certified Coach (BCC) and Certified EQi 2.0 (Emotional Intelligence) coach. He holds an undergraduate degree in Communications from Sterling College of Kansas, as well as a Master’s Degree in Sports Management from the United States Sports Academy in Alabama. Beyond his professional pursuits, he maintains a close connection to the Society for Human Resource Management. Jared’s community engagement includes his impactful partnerships with the Houston Food Bank, Adopt-a-Family, CFSA Youth Baseball, and Hope City Church Houston.
