Community Impact
Adding Value to the Communities We Serve
Creating a lasting impact is our goal
We must build each other up and create lasting client success to grow. This applies not only to our clients and employees but also to our communities. The question always on our firm’s mind is: How do we create a lasting impact?
Our employees serve on non-profit and advisory boards and give back to their communities outside the office. Additionally, our connection teams volunteer with organizations like the Houston Food Bank each year. However, we want to do more.
Our firm focuses on helping underserved youth by providing career development and skills training through programs like Genesys Works and Project Impact with Bethel’s Academy. More specifically, we offer internship opportunities, mock interviews, networking courses, and more to help create a career pathway and improve the trajectory for these students. We fulfill our mission to positively impact our communities through our initiatives.
The Nashville Opera hosts the annual gala to recognize the organization’s and its members’ outstanding efforts. The funds from the gala support the education and community engagement of young audiences of the art form through its Opera on Tour program, which introduces students to the opera in a fun and engaging way. Calvetti Ferguson is an annual sponsor, and Nicholas McClay is President of the Board.
We’re proud to support Texas A&M University through our partnership with Texas A&M Athletics, a collaboration that directly benefits the student community and its dedicated athletes.
Our support helps to provide essential resources that enrich the academic and athletic experiences of Texas A&M students. This includes funding for crucial student-athlete development programs, which equip young men and women with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their sports and beyond.
Genesys Works is a program that provides pathways to career success for high school students in underserved communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships. Calvetti Ferguson partners with Genesys Works to provide students in underserved areas with internships and professional development skills. Our employees help students with their resumes and participate in mock interviews to prepare them for real-life interviews.
The Houston Food Bank, whose mission statement is “food for better lives,” serves around 1 million people around the 18 southeast Texas counties to help provide nutritious meals to those who do not have the means to access enough food, amongst other necessities. While they distribute food through a network of over 1,600 community partners, they also help educate families by providing programs and services to help families accomplish long-term stability. Every Calvetti Ferguson Houston office employee volunteers at least one shift per year.
For over three decades, Dallas CASA has been a cornerstone of the North Texas community, ensuring children are placed in safe and supportive homes. As a local firm dedicated to serving our community, Calvetti Ferguson is proud to sponsor annually and contribute to the important work of Dallas CASA. We believe that every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment, and we are committed to supporting organizations that are working to make that a reality.
