The CF flag kicked off its adventure in our Fort Worth, Texas office.  Jim Calvetti, assurance practice leader, said “The flag is now part of our culture.  We’re dedicated to outstanding client service, but we also know the value of having a good time, forging friendships, and strengthening bonds.  The flag showcases our team members traveling for work or fun and I really enjoy seeing where our team members travel.”

Vivek Doshi, assurance senior manager and world traveler, traveled to India this summer and brought the CF flag along for the journey.  “Working for a company that has an open PTO policy is amazing. CF encourages us to take time off when we need it.  I love to travel and believe I am a better employee because CF allows me to make time for what is important to me” says Vivek.

Recently, Jared Hamilton and Maggie Mayer brought the CF flag with them to the PrimeGlobal conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.  PrimeGlobal is one of the five largest associations of independent accounting firms in the world.  The conference brought together professionals focused on firm operations.  Jared and Maggie concluded the week-long conference with a hike where they posed with the CF Flag, which was the talk of the conference and envied by many!

Jared Hamilton, HR director, stated “We were happy to unveil the flag at the PrimeGlobal Operations Roundtable Conference in Salt Lake City this past August.  The collaboration and camaraderie among the attendees were by far the highlight—we all got along very well as we shared challenges, successes, and a few laughs as well.  We showed a ‘GREAT’ sense of pride in our firm, as well reaffirming the influence we can all have when you show a bold, willing spirit to try something new, especially when you go to great lengths (or heights for that matter).”

Several team members and their families braved Tropical Storm Imelda for the Astros 4-1 win over the Rangers.  During the second inning, the flag made an appearance for a photo opportunity.  Craig Cook, resource manager, said “Future hall of famer Justin Verlander on the mound, Yordan Alvarez’ monster 454-foot homer, and cheering the Astros to victory with my CF friends and family is hands down my definition of an awesome time!  The shared experience makes us closer, especially since we gave rides home or to parking garages due to the storm outside Minute Maid park when the game ended.  These are the things a family does for each other.”

The CF flag is traveling the world with our team members.  At Calvetti Ferguson, our culture isn’t just something we list on our website—it’s what we do every day.  Where will the CF flag be next?  Connect with us on social to find out.
