Houston Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will work closely with executive leadership on the continued development of the firm’s marketing strategy. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing or related field of study, and a minimum of 10 years of marketing experience in a corporate environment. Experience in a consulting or professional services environment a plus. Candidate must be highly skilled at project management and have excellent written and oral communication skills; experience with Salesforce a plus. Candidate must also have a proven ability to lead and to help foster the development of strong interpersonal relationships. Responsibilities will include managing the budget, analytics, and execution of marketing strategies; maintaining the firm’s online presence on the company website and social media platforms; creating and coordinating all company marketing materials; production of collateral and preparation of proposals firm-wide; and managing all promotional activities, including marketing campaigns and events. Houston Human Resources Manager

Candidate must have 10-15 years in human resources at a professional services firm and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Human Resource Manager should also promote a positive work environment, which encourages open communications and feedback through such avenues as firm-wide meetings, employee surveys and focus groups, on-on-one meetings, staff recognition announcements/events and firm-wide welcoming of new employees. This role is also responsible for organizing, implementing and monitoring training activities.
The Human Resource Manager is responsible for maintaining the firm’s compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to all personnel matters including but not limited to FMLA, COBRA, ADA, HIPAA, ACA, OSHA, ERISA and IRCA. In addition, must manage and administer the fringe benefit programs offered to Legal Action employees including health insurance, dental insurance, long-term disability insurance, 401(k)/profit sharing retirement plan, life insurance, workers compensation, unemployment insurance and flexible benefit plan.
The position reports directly to the Managing Partner. As such, the individual will make recommendations to the Managing Partner and Partner group for the improvement of the firm’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters. The Audit Senior Manager is a professional position responsible for the overall audit process for clients. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from four-year college or university; eight plus years of financial statement audit experience at a public accounting firm; and a desire to develop younger professionals. CPA license is required. Our Tax Manager is responsible for the implementation of tax planning ideas, overseeing client tax compliance projects, provides thought leadership to the partner group while actively developing and mentoring other members of the Tax practice. Develops and maintains strong client relationships, coordinates with Partners, Managers, and staff. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years total experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ experience reviewing federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and an active CPA license. Understand and manage firm risk on tax services performed. Experience with individual and trust income tax and consulting skills are required. Advanced technical and consulting skills in the areas of: partnership formations, operations, and liquidations; private equity funds and their portfolio companies is a plus. Corporate income tax provision experience, would also be a plus. Managers are expected to assist in identifying and delivering high value tax planning ideas for clients.
