Dallas Audit Senior Manager

The Audit Senior Manager is a professional position responsible for the overall audit process for clients. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from four-year college or university; eight plus years of financial statement audit experience at a public accounting firm; and a desire to develop younger professionals. CPA license is required. The nature of this position requires direct contact with company employees at all levels as well as contact with clients, representatives, vendors, and other business-related representatives. Experience working with privately-held clients is a plus. Industry experience in energy, hospitality, manufacturing, real estate, and construction is strongly desired. Dallas Receptionist

The receptionist is responsible for maintaining the front desk of our Dallas office. As the first point of contact, the receptionist will welcome guests, properly screen all calls, maintain the reception area, order supplies, and assist the EA with various projects within the firm. Candidates should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. You should also handle emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Dallas Tax Manager

Our Tax Manager is responsible for the implementation of tax planning ideas, overseeing client tax compliance projects, provides thought leadership to the partner group while actively developing and mentoring other members of the Tax practice. Develops and maintains strong client relationships, coordinates with Partners, Managers, and staff. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years total experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ experience reviewing federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and an active CPA license. Understand and manage firm risk on tax services performed. Experience with individual and trust income tax and consulting skills are required. Advanced technical and consulting skills in the areas of: partnership formations, operations, and liquidations; private equity funds and their portfolio companies is a plus. Corporate income tax provision experience, would also be a plus. Managers are expected to assist in identifying and delivering high value tax planning ideas for clients. Fort Worth Full Charge Bookkeeper

Based in Fort Worth, candidates should have at least a minimum of 5 years of experience, with knowledge on QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and Sage/Peachtree. Candidates should have the ability to interact with and assist various clients with monthly bookkeeping activities to include general ledger analysis, closing activities, and other accounting procedures as needed. This position is also responsible for reconciling bank accounts, calculating and/or recording accruals and other journal entries, recording accounts receivable and payable, maintaining fixed assets/depreciation schedules, preparing payroll and payroll tax returns, and preparing sales tax returns. Houston Accounting Services Manager

Based in Houston, the Accounting Services Manager oversees and manages the bookkeeping staff. Responsible for the practices and procedures to ensure timely and accurate records and reports. Candidates should be able to multi-task effectively and have strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices. Must be proficient in Quickbooks, Peachtree, Excel, and Word. Complete knowledge of payroll processes, payroll reporting, 1099s, and sales tax reporting is required. Proven working experience as an accounting manager, accounting supervisor, or finance director. May require a bachelor’s degree. Reports to the head of accounting services. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project, department milestones, and goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Houston/Woodlands Resource Manager

As the Resource Manager, you will be a trusted advisor who provides balanced and practical advice around staff planning and management. You will work with leaders to manage resourcing and utilization across the firm, ensuring we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right locations, available at the right time. This is a highly visible position requiring the ability to interact with leaders and managers at all levels. Ability to balance the department needs with the needs of the professional staff is critical to this position.

Responsibilities:
• Assign appropriate personnel to engagements. This will involve assessing the engagement needs, reviewing available options, and recommending people that meet the requirements. When appropriate, challenge the schedule, to achieve the most efficient utilization of resources.
• Resolve staffing conflicts to the satisfaction of all parties, which may include identifying creative staffing alternatives and negotiating.
• Influence project managers and business leaders to accept an alternate staffing outcome by articulating the value and long-term or big picture, benefits.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key practice and industry leaders, and leverage these relationships to maximize deployment opportunities for staff.
• Actively maintain one-on-one relationships with staff in order to develop detailed understanding of staff goals and preferences.
• Provide up-to-date management information, analysis and advice on resource availability, actual and projected resource utilization, and forecast headcount.
• Communicate headcount needs to recruiting
• Escalate sensitive or high-risk staffing situations to business leadership, as appropriate
• Lead scheduling meetings; promote and monitor the sharing of resources.
• Monitor unassigned resources, and act as primary point of contact for unassigned staff; proactively identify assignments for these resources.
• Work with Department leads and Recruiting to determine start date.
• Coordinate with the training team, to recommend, schedule and provide training for all staff
• Work with Department leads on reallocating work ensuring projects are properly leveraged and workloads are even while given challenging and rewarding projects.
